Roof Top Moss Removal
Here in the Pacific Northwest, our wet and cool environment promotes the growth of moss, algae and lichen. The average roof in Western Washington needs replacement after 18 years. But with regular moss removal, chemical treatment and general maintenance- you can extend the life of your roof by ten years or more! We use a very safe and effective method that will assure your roof is healthy and looks great!
Roof Blowing and Sweeping
Some roofs just need a good sweeping and blowing to remove dirt, debris and pine needles. We use nylon brushes and high powered blowers to leave your roof looking tidy.
Siding and Eaves Cleaning
We spray the exterior siding and/or eaves with a safe mixture of chemicals (a Green product, made by Seattle Pump) and then scrub lightly with a soft brush to remove moss, algae and lichen. We let the mixture sit for 20 minutes and then rinse it down with a garden hose. This method is much more gentle than pressure washing and leaves the siding looking fresh and clean.
Gutter and Downspout Cleaning
Keep your gutters free of leaves, pine needles, debris and moss to prevent over-flowing and the expensive costs associated when gutters come down under the weight of water. We clean the gutters and check the downspouts to be certain they are running freely. W
reattach any gutter coming loose from the building.
Even newer roofs should be treated with zinc sulfate to ward off the growth of moss. But if we've already had to remove moss from your roof- consider having regular treatments to prevent the rapid regrowth.
Consider brightening up the exterior of your gutters with our gutter whitening process. We use a mixture of TSP and Clorox to spray and scrub the gutters and let them sit to bleach. We then hose them off and wipe them down. This process can really liven up the look of your home. Many people consider this process when they are listing their home on the market and want to give it extra street appeal.
